Interior Designer of the month: Kelly Wearstler

Kelly Wearstler is an Los Angeles based Interior Designer with a flair for "modern glamor." Not only can she bring a room to life, but she has also been named on Vogue's best dressed list numerous times, designs formal flatware for Pickard, designs fabrics for Lee Jofa, an author of three bestselling books, and in her spare time has managed to create a ready to wear fashion line that has debuted this past month at Neiman Marcus. She specializes in commercial and residential Interior Design. I had an opportunity to intern for her when I lived down in LA, but school and work wouldn't allow. If only I could do that now!! She is opening her flagship retail store in LA this year as well. I've included several examples of her work, residential and commercial. If you are interested in learning more about her or her products, visit this site. http://kellywearstler.com/

Just looking at this photo, you are delightfully overwhelmed with different colors, textures, and styles...but yet you're not OVERwhelmed. She incorporates different styles, but keeps the majority of the color within the same color family. She adds interest by incorporating the gold and fun accents.

LOVE the color green on these chairs. This is from the Regency hotel in Santa Monica. I love the frame gallery.
Here is Kelly looking fab. I just love her!
This is from the Regency Hotel in Santa Monica. I absolutely love the color brought in by the bold green in the rug and on the sofa. Note how she keeps the majority of the palette with blacks and whites yet adds some interest with color and using different materials...IE glass, leather, velvet.
